Into the archives

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

As you may be aware, not only do we produce beautiful wedding videos, but we have been producing documentaries, short films and music videos professionally for over 10 years. Current promotional film clients include the German National Tourist Office and the National Trust, as well as the music videos for up and coming singer Nancy Black. Jamie has also won a whole host of film awards for his short films, anti-racism and football documentaries.

So today we've gone back into the archives and found a fun music video to share with you.

In 2004 Jamie produced the official website for former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown and the release of his album 'Solarized'. He also produced a number of videos, interviews and film content for the site, including this interview with Noel Gallagher (hosted by someone else on YouTube)

Then in 2005 he led a project that brought together the online Ian Brown fan community, inspiring them to produce animations, visuals and artwork for a music video. It also gave the opportunity to share some previously unseen live footage that Jamie directed on tour in 2002. Ian and the label loved the video and we hope you do too!

Wedding Season has begun!

Monday, April 18, 2011

Spring has officially started in England and with all this lovely sunshine the wedding season has also started for us. Last weekend we had the pleasure of capturing the big day for two very special couples.

Both couples were very lucky and got the nice weather they deserved for their wedding day – it was very enjoyable for us and we would like to thank them once again for making us part of their special day. We believe that the images and video captured their day well and hope that it will be a great way to relive the day over and over again!

As we know how hard it is to be waiting around for ages to see the photos of your big day, we always make sure that we email you one or two photos within a few days of your wedding. The rest of the photos and your video, if you like, will also be posted to you within 2 weeks – ready for your return from your honeymoon. Here is a little sneak preview of images, which we have sent to the couples the day after their wedding:

Congratulations to Nadia and Jack, married 15th April 2011.

Congratulations to Charlotte and Adam, married 16th April 2011.

More images will be available soon in the gallery of www.wiltshireweddingphotography.org.uk

Our photos in the press and online!

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

In March 2011 Jamie McDine directed and produced the music video "Winter" for Nancy Black. However, it's not only the HD video that is going down a storm, but also the photos that Jamie took during the shoot, on location in Frome and Bath.

This photo of Nancy was printed in the regional newspaper Western Daily Press, and the Somerset Standard, as well as featured on their online news site. You can READ THE ARTICLE ONLINE HERE.

And another photo we took of Nancy in action at the Rondo Theatre in Bath has been selected by the "Images of Bath" group as photo of the month, on the worldwide photography site FlickR.

Wedding Season
We can't wait for our wedding season to start in the next couple of weeks - hopefully the beautiful sunny weather will continue for the lovely couples and their big day! There are plenty of wedding photo shoots and video shoots booked in for this year and next - and several wedding packages as well... which means we'll be capturing the wedding day in photos and on video at an unbeatable price!

We are also looking forward to photograph cute babies and family portraits in the next few weeks, and have updated our website to include a children section. Why not take a look HERE

Best wishes, Jamie and Jackie, Wiltshire Wedding Video and Photography

Video Guestbook

Tuesday, February 1, 2011

One of the most popular features on the wedding video DVDs we produce is the Video Guestbook - it's a really personal way to leave a special message to the bride and groom. Leaving a message on film is so different to simply writing a message in a book and guests can leave comical and emotional messages or something very personal from them to you.

Together with the highlights film of the day, this is the most popular feature on the wedding DVD. We have produced several video guestbooks and here is one for you to watch, which Laurence and Gemma have kindly given us permission to share with you. Enjoy watching their special video guestbook messages.

Bookings are coming in for 2011 and 2012 and we're looking forward to filming and photographing the special days of some really lovely couples.

We wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Friday, December 31, 2010

To kick off 2011, I thought it was about time I recut my production showreel and added promotional films and documentaries produced in 2009 and 2010, together with the music videos, short films and earlier factual productions.

I am a self shooting director, producing films for government organisations, the National Trust, big and small businesses and a variety of community groups.

Have you thought about using promotional film to increase awareness or interest in your company, product or service? Whether it is for a big screening event or to boost the content on your website and google ranking, a promotional film by Jamie McDine is just what you need: professional film at a very affordable price.

No hanging around!

Thursday, December 16, 2010

I remember when we got married this Summer, we were desperate to have the photos as soon as possible, so we could see how we looked, could email a picture to friends and family that weren't at the wedding, and could change our profile picture on Facebook! We were lucky, the photographer was a colleague and friend of ours, and we had our photos within a few weeks.

We know plenty of others that are not so lucky and have had to wait 3 months or more to see their photos, and when they did, they had a watermark of the photographers name across them so they couldn't print or use them.

I'm proud to say - we are very different.
With Wiltshire Wedding Photography there is no hanging around! We email you one of the best photos from your wedding day within 2 days, so that you can email it to friends and family, and upload it to Facebook etc. We also prioritise the editing and delivery of your photos, so that they are all edited and sent to you within 2 weeks! And we always give you all of the photos in the highest quality - there is no watermark or copyright on the images. We want you to be able to print your wedding photos as often and as big as you like, after all it's your big day, not ours!

Wedding videos before you return from honeymoon!
Exactly the same applies with the beautiful wedding videos we produce at Wiltshire Wedding Video. Our years of film production and project management experience means we guarantee professionalism, quality and delivery of your wedding video within 2 to 3 weeks. Typically the DVD copies of your wedding video will be in the letterbox when you return from honeymoon - the perfect way to relive the special day when you return from your time celebrating together. The more complex DVDs, programmed with lots of extra films from the big day take longer to edit and produce, but are typically with you in under 3 weeks.

So with Wiltshire Wedding Photography and Wiltshire Wedding Video you won't be hanging around to relive your wedding day!

Team Spirit - in print!

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Following the fantastic exhibition at the Laverton Hall in Westbury, the Team Spirit community photography project officially ended today, with a final meet up of the photographers, each receiving a copy of the commemorative book printed to celebrate the project.

The photography project was led by Jackie McDine of Wiltshire Wedding Photography and was funded by V. The books were designed by Jackie and feature a personal profile of each project participant, together with their 3 best photos - and the soft back cover features the 'TEAM' and 'SPIRIT' group shots of all participants.

Thank you to all the participants, everyone who has helped us make this project happen, let us photograph their team or organisation, and those who came along to our exhibition.

We are currently putting together plans for a new photography project, that will be free to participate and inspire you to use your camera every day... so keep checking back!

Photo in Charity Calendar

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Jackie McDine not only takes beautiful wedding photos, but also shoots landscapes, portraits and photos of animals. Her photo 'Mini Tiger' which features the Lacock resident with the famous "I Bite" tag has just won a photography competition to be selected for a charity calendar. The calendar will support animal charities and was organised by the Beeches Vet Centre in Melksham. We wish them lots of success and hope they sell plenty of calendars.

Exhibition Fri 12th & Sat 13th November

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Back in August Jackie McDine launched the project "Team Spirit: A Community Photography Project" in Westbury, Wiltshire.
Three months later, and the project has enabled us to make new friends, share skills and techniques and shoot some really interesting photos. It has been a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all participants and we're really excited that you will have the opportunity to see our work next week!

Photos by all 13 project participants will be exhibited at the Laverton Hall in Westbury and we would be delighted if you could join us to enjoy the work and have a cup of tea and cake - and yes everything is free! It would be great if you could also forward this information on to friends and colleagues, and even add it to your facebook status.

The exhibition opens on Friday 12th November from 6-9pm and will run again on Saturday 13th November from 12-5pm. Come along to enjoy the photographs - you will have a chance to meet the photographers and discuss their work, as well as enjoying a free cup of tea and piece of cake. The project has been funded by v - inspiring young volunteers across the UK, and has been kindly supported by Matravers School.

All of the work is based upon the theme of 'Team Spirit' and 13 participants of all ages and abilities took part in the project, led by Jackie McDine of Wiltshire Wedding Photography.

We hope to see you on Friday 12th or Saturday 13th at the exhibition.

The New Wiltshire Wedding Video Trailer

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

For a lot of couples getting married, they are not entirely sure what a wedding video consists of. So to try and highlight some of the different options available I produced the following trailer - shot at the beautiful Cleeve House in Seend, and the lovely church in North Bradley, Wiltshire.

With us a wedding video is exactly what you want it to be - whether it is a highlights film of the day edited to your favourite song, a full version of the ceremony to show your children and grandchildren in years to come, the full speeches, a video guestbook of personal messages left by your family and friends or whatever you desire. And obviously what you want on your DVD will also depend on the budget you have available - which is why we tailor every wedding video to your unique requirements.

Our typical prices are £500 - £750, but some may be even cheaper depending on what you want on your wedding DVD. So if you're getting married and not sure what kind of wedding video to go for, or if you have enough money for one, then get in touch and speak to Jamie for more information and a price. Email: jamie@ivisualise.co.uk

We hope you enjoy the trailer.

We recommend Ecosia

Friday, October 15, 2010

We have just discovered Ecosia. If you haven't heard of them either, then please check them out. They are an online search engine with a difference... they donate 80% of their financial gain to saving the rainforest. Each search saves 2 qm of forest. This idea is too good to neglect. They are just as good as google or bing, but by searching with Ecosia you are also helping the environment, so please bookmark them and start using them today, we are: http://www.Ecosia.org/

We are professional film producers

Monday, October 11, 2010

Not only do we produce beautiful wedding videos, but we continue to work professionally within film production. This Summer Jamie produced a promotional film for government organisation, the UK-German Connection, to promote and highlight the work they do in bringing young people from both nations together, and how schools, individuals and organisations can get involved. The film was also produced to celebrate their 5th birthday as an organisation! You can watch the film here:

In May, Jamie was commissioned by the National Trust to produce a series of films at the home of photography - the stunning Lacock Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum, in Lacock, Wiltshire. The films document the photography festival that took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, 2010. This film shows a variety of the activities and fun family events that took part over the course of the weekend, including: historic interpreters playing the parts of Fox Talbot and his family and friends; historic photographs made by Richard Cynan-Jones using early processes; digital pinhole photography and much more! The films are available to view in the digital gallery at the Fox Talbot Museum and are enjoyed by a large number of visitors on a daily basis.

Jamie's film talents also span the fields of music video production, where he has worked with the likes of Just Jack and Ian Brown. He has also worked with the German band 'Begbie' who have just released their debut album "The Age of Golden Lies". The band recorded the soundtrack to Jamie's critically acclaimed documentary "Blauweiss" in 2007, and this is the music video to the film's title track "Blue and White", released on the Heartdisco label.

So if you are looking for someone with the talent, experience and professionalism to produce your wedding video then look no further. And as we work professionally in film production every day of the week, we have all the equipment and don't charge you ridiculous amounts of money just because it is a wedding! Our typical prices are £500-£750, but it may be cheaper depending on your requirements... so get in touch now for more details! jamie@ivisualise.co.uk
And check out the website for samples of our wedding videos: http://www.wiltshireweddingvideo.info/

We recommend these guys!!

Saturday, October 9, 2010

We've got to know lots of people and companies associated with weddings over the past year, what with our production of wedding videos, wedding photos, and getting married ourselves! And there are a few companies that we particular like, because they go the extra mile for a personal customer service and they keep their prices realistic. You can find them on our websites - they are a small handful of links.

The first we'd like to mention are Elite Formal Hire in Trowbridge. They really take care to make sure you are hiring the exact suit you want for your wedding day (and yes they also do fancy dress costumes if you'd prefer to go as Captain Jack Sparrow) and make sure everything fits perfectly and comfortably. They also double check everything when making the order, just to see if there is a cheaper alternative if hiring as a package, or individual items. Very nice people and we are happy to recommend them!
Check them out online: http://www.eliteformalhire.co.uk/

You can check the others out direct from our sites, and we'll be giving a bigger mention to each one soon!

Competition closes 31st October

We won't bombard you with messages or anything like that, but we simply hope you'll enjoy watching the videos and viewing the photos on our Facebook page and you can join in discussions and post on the wall.
We rely on word of mouth and recommendations from our satisfied customers, so we hope that you'll tell your friends and family about us. One person will win a free photoshoot.
One person will win a free HD film shoot - recording a personal Christmas message which will be edited so you can send online to family and friends.

We've got Team Spirit!

Monday, September 27, 2010

The community photography project "Team Spirit" is underway and has got a real buzz of excitement about it from participants in the Westbury area.

Team Spirit is a 2 month photography project being led by Jackie McDine of Wiltshire Wedding Photography and is completely free for people of all ages and abilities to participate. So far the group have been out on location in the eerie Wiltshire ghost town of Imber, at rugby matches, concerts and at various local groups and organisations that embody 'team spirit'. They have also been picking up skills, tips and techniques to improve their shots, or how to edit their photos.

If you would like to follow the project, then please visit the blog: http://teamspiritwestbury.blogspot.com/

And we would love to see you at the exhibition at the Laverton Hall in Westbury on November 12th and 13th, for a free drink and look at the groups work in print.

Bookings, leaflets and latest news!

Monday, September 13, 2010

We've had a busy but fantastic Summer filming and photographing weddings across Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset and met some lovely people along the way!

In July, Jackie and I got married together at Old Wardour Castle, which was a beautiful and unforgettable day. Having gone through the joys and stresses of planning our own wedding, we really appreciate what couples are going through and have tried to make our services as stress free as possible, as well as making sure you get the most amazing images and DVD to treasure your special day!

We've had the pleasure of shooting wedding videos and photos at some truly magical venues around the region - Manor House in Castle Combe was stunning, especially as it was bathed in sunlight, and the picturesque church in Mells, near Frome, was a real highlight.

We initially decided to limit the amount of weddings we shoot to one per weekend, and I think this has helped us to provide a first class service - as we can really focus on producing the best possible film or photos of your day and take our time to edit them professionally and to the highest possible standard. It also means that couples usually end up receiving their DVDs or photos within 2 or 3 weeks of the wedding - the majority of our customers come back from honeymoon to find their DVDs waiting for them and can watch them straight away... without having to wait around for weeks and weeks!

And people have asked us how we can keep our prices so low, when we put so much work into it, and only shoot one wedding per weekend. Well, as we also work in the industry professionally, producing films for various organisations, or directing shoots for film projects, then we have all the equipment, skills, and regular work, so we don't need to charge extortionate amounts for your wedding video or photos. And we know how expensive weddings can be, so we keep our prices sensible and affordable.

We are already taking the first few bookings for May and June 2011, but still have plenty of availability for the rest of 2010 - so don't panic, even if you think you've left it too late, give us a call and see if we can capture your special day on film or in photos.

And this week we've finally found the time to produce a leaflet about our services, which you can view and download by clicking on the image below (it would be great if you could pass it on to friends, colleagues or relatives who are thinking of getting married):

And finally, we'd like to say a big thank you to all of our customers and everyone that has recommended us, forwarded our details, followed us on facebook and supported us. It really is appreciated, and as a special thank you we do have a couple of amazing prizes to giveaway, which are very simple to win. Just invite your friends to follow us on Facebook (especially engaged friends!) and you're in with a chance. Just visit the following link and click 'Suggest to Friends" and click all of the friends you would like to invite. Job done! GO TO THE FACEBOOK PAGE HERE

Details of the prizes can be found in the previous post. Good luck and best wishes,

Jamie and Jackie

Invite friends on Facebook and win a great prize!

Thursday, September 9, 2010

After 10 years of music video, documentary and film production, this year Jamie branched out and started producing wedding videos, while Jackie has broadened her photography portfolio and now shoots beautiful wedding photos - and we both absolutely love it!

We always receive such lovely messages from the happy couple and we're delighted to have captured their special day in pictures and on film, knowing that they'll treasure it forever. We take a real pride in our work, after all this is the most important day of your lives.

It is often said that 'word of mouth' is the best possible form of advertising, and we've found that to be true. Our satisfied customers have told their friends and family about us, shown their wedding video and photos, and as a result their friends or relatives have booked us for their wedding and birthday celebrations.

Similarly, our friends have told their friends and family about our wedding photography and video services and as a result we have produced their wedding videos and photos. Thank you so much to all of our friends and customers for recommending us, for your kind comments and please keep spreading the word!

We would really appreciate it if you could tell all your friends and family about us and invite them to 'Like' us on Facebook, or direct them to our websites. Not only do we offer a friendly and professional service, but our prices are very good value and we just need more and more people to know about Wiltshire Wedding Video and Wiltshire Wedding Photography.

And as a thank you, we have a couple of special prizes up for grabs for those of you recommending us and inviting your friends to follow us on Facebook.
PRIZE ONE - one of you will win a free photoshoot.
PRIZE TWO - one of you will win the opportunity to record your own Christmas video message, all produced and edited in HD, and uploaded for you to send the link to your friends and family at Christmas time (no need to send cards this year!)

The easiest way to invite your friends is to visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/West-Ashton-United-Kingdom/Wiltshire-Wedding-Video/127461750616023
Click on the link "Suggest to friends" and then click on all your friends to invite them. 30 seconds, job done and you could win a great prize... and just as importantly, you will be really helping us out.

Or you could simply give out our website addresses:
http://www.wiltshireweddingvideo.info/
http://www.wiltshireweddingphotography.org.uk/

Thanks again for all your support and good luck with winning one of the two special prizes.
Best wishes,
Jamie and Jackie

We need YOUR help!

Tuesday, September 7, 2010

Thanks to our followers on Facebook we have been able to improve the Wiltshire Wedding Video website - some viewers of the website were having problems watching the videos due to the speed of their connection... so now the videos have a full control panel (pause, stop, fast forward, rewind and adjust volume) to give you more control and stop the video from buffering and keep stop/starting on it's own.

We have also changed the order of the sample videos on the site, just in case users were giving up with a slow connection after only watching one clip, and added an extended testimonial section in the introduction (that you can also skip).

So now we need YOUR help!
Does the site make sense to navigate - can you find the information or section you are looking for? Are the links obvious and large enough to click? And is it clear what you have to click to go to the next video, and that you can go to the next video whilst watching another? Is there anything you dislike or would like to be changed/improved.

The Apple Problem - After testing other video and flash sites online, I am concerned as to whether the website works on an iPad or iPhone as well as other mobile devices like Blackberry. If you have one of these can you please check the site for me and let me know if the main content and videos work on your device... otherwise I will have to look into creating an extra new compatible site!

All comments are very gratefully received, we read all of them, and they help us to improve our websites, the work we do and the service we provide, so please respond to this post through our Facebook page.
