Jamie and Jackie are best known as photographers, who work in a friendly and unobtrusive way to capture your special day in stunning images. However, Jamie's background is in film production, and he also produces beautiful wedding videos in Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset.
So what is Jamie's film background?
Jamie is a film producer with an international background, experience and award-winning talent. He has produced music videos for the likes of Ian Brown and Just Jack, and directs promotional films for companies locally and internationally, including the German Tourist Office, English Heritage and Wiltshire Council.
His documentaries have been screened at festivals, cinemas and picked up several film awards around the world.
When Jamie got married in 2010 he found that noone in the South West was producing high quality wedding videos, and certainly not at an affordable price. Since then he has produced stunning wedding videos with the same attention to detail and quality as he would any professional film production.

We love hearing from the happy couples who we have photographed and filmed on their wedding day, and it's always a great feeling to hear that they are delighted with the job that we've done and the memories that we have captured for them in the photos and videos. So we thought it would be nice to share a couple of the latest messages here.

Spring has officially started in England and with all this lovely sunshine the wedding season has also started for us. Last weekend we had the pleasure of capturing the big day for two very special couples.
Both couples were very lucky and got the nice weather they deserved for their wedding day – it was very enjoyable for us and we would like to thank them once again for making us part of their special day. We believe that the images and video captured their day well and hope that it will be a great way to relive the day over and over again!
As we know how hard it is to be waiting around for ages to see the photos of your big day, we always make sure that we email you one or two photos within a few days of your wedding. The rest of the photos and your video, if you like, will also be posted to you within 2 weeks – ready for your return from your honeymoon. Here is a little sneak preview of images, which we have sent to the couples the day after their wedding:

In March 2011 Jamie McDine directed and produced the music video "Winter" for Nancy Black. However, it's not only the HD video that is going down a storm, but also the photos that Jamie took during the shoot, on location in Frome and Bath.
This photo of Nancy was printed in the regional newspaper Western Daily Press, and the Somerset Standard, as well as featured on their online news site. You can READ THE ARTICLE ONLINE HERE.

One of the most popular features on the wedding video DVDs we produce is the Video Guestbook - it's a really personal way to leave a special message to the bride and groom. Not only do we produce beautiful wedding videos, but we continue to work professionally within film production. This Summer Jamie produced a promotional film for government organisation, the UK-German Connection, to promote and highlight the work they do in bringing young people from both nations together, and how schools, individuals and organisations can get involved. The film was also produced to celebrate their 5th birthday as an organisation! You can watch the film here:
In May, Jamie was commissioned by the National Trust to produce a series of films at the home of photography - the stunning Lacock Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum, in Lacock, Wiltshire. The films document the photography festival that took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend, 2010. This film shows a variety of the activities and fun family events that took part over the course of the weekend, including: historic interpreters playing the parts of Fox Talbot and his family and friends; historic photographs made by Richard Cynan-Jones using early processes; digital pinhole photography and much more! The films are available to view in the digital gallery at the Fox Talbot Museum and are enjoyed by a large number of visitors on a daily basis.
Jamie's film talents also span the fields of music video production, where he has worked with the likes of Just Jack and Ian Brown. He has also worked with the German band 'Begbie' who have just released their debut album "The Age of Golden Lies". The band recorded the soundtrack to Jamie's critically acclaimed documentary "Blauweiss" in 2007, and this is the music video to the film's title track "Blue and White", released on the Heartdisco label.

Tory and Rich got married in the beautiful village of Mells, near Frome, on September 4th 2010. This film shows the highlights of their day, from their preparations, through the ceremony, to walking off as husband and wife!

The gallery and website for Wiltshire Wedding Photography has been updated with the help of our friends and fans. Comments and suggestions have been coming in since the site was redesigned last month, and the last of those changes have finally been put in to place - changes include the addition of customer testimonials to the home page, shorter passages of text and more images in specific galleries.
And this week, through our Flickr page and Facebook group, fans and friends were able to decide on which of the new images would make it into the new gallery for the website. The options were given and wedding photo "Bench" was a clear winner in colour, whilst "Looking Up" and "Window" ran very close (edging it by one or two votes out of 50). The gallery is now online and available to view at: www.wiltshireweddingphotography.org.uk
Simply open the Weddings specific gallery to view the images.

I am currently editing the footage from last weekend's wedding and it's coming along really well. And this film is a little different, as the couple are not having a highlights version of the film, but are having an extended edit of the wedding venue arrivals (groom, guests and bride), the full ceremony, leaving the church, arriving at the reception venue and drinks with the guests and finally the speeches in full. At Wiltshire Wedding Video we always produce exactly what you want, after all it is your special day!
This means, their DVD will have all of these items edited together to select from the menu - either to play the whole day, or to specify a chapter or section of the day.

Laura and Scott got married at Haselbury Mill, near Crewkerne in Somerset, on Saturday 10th July 2010. The couple celebrated their special day with family and friends and the film below shows the highlights of their day - from the bride and bridesmaids preparations, to the first dance as husband and wife.
The film is edited to a song of their choice, Bon Jovi's "Thank you for loving me", which was also the song for their first dance.

Wedding DVD

Christian and Beth's wedding video has been edited together and it has been produced in 3 separate sections:
1) Highlights Film - a 3mins 30secs film of highlights from the wedding day, cut to their favourite song, Michael Bublé's "Everything".
2) Full Ceremony - from the entrance of the bride, to the exit of the bride and groom, this is the full ceremony, edited between the two camera angles and shots of guests etc.
3) The Speeches - the speeches and toasts in all their entirety.
These films have been programmed and burnt onto a Video DVD, that the couple can play on their TV and DVD Player, or Computer, or any device with a DVD Player. When they insert the DVD, a simple, yet beautiful, menu loads with their list of film options, for them to select 'play'. Below is an image of the menu playing on a TV - the DVDs are typically produced with widescreen (16:9) menu and film content.
And of course, the DVDs are presented beautifully as well, in printed DVD cases, and with a gold lightscribe (laser printed) disc. Christian and Beth's gold DVD is shown below.
And we always supply the happy couple with 3 copies of the DVD (typically they keep one for themselves and give one each to their parents or families).
We can also supply the highlights film as a high quality video file suitable for the internet - so you can add it to your YouTube, Vimeo, Myspace or FaceBook pages, or of course to a blog or website of your own. Years of film production experience and creating video for the web means that you get the best possible quality files, to then share your wedding film with family and friends around the world. Mark and Kristy got married in the beautiful Priston Mill, near Bath in April 2010. For their wedding video, they had the full version of their vows, as well as the highlights of their day. This was all put on to DVD for them, all accessed via a simple but elegant menu, that they could watch on their TV or computer. We also provided them with a high quality internet compatible file (QuickTime H.264 LAN) of the highlights film, so they could add it to their Facebook pages, YouTube etc and therefore show friends and family around the world.
