Beautiful Summer wedding at Homewood Park, near Bath

There are so many stunning wedding venues around Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset, some of which we visit several times a year. This August Jamie discovered Homewood Park for the first time and was just blown away with the venue and a magical day, as he filmed Sarah and Matt's wedding.

Not only is the venue beautifully styled, but it has wonderful gardens and is set in a very peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby city of Bath. It was made even more spectacular thanks to the elements of Chinese wedding tradition that the happy couple kept as part of their special day. The tea ceremony was a particular highlight and it tasted amazing too!

The day was so memorable, not least for the friendliness of all the guests and especially Sarah and Matt, who were so friendly and considerate - it was just a joy to share their special day with them.

Vintage wedding at Old Manor Hotel, Trowle

The Old Manor Hotel in Trowle, near Bradford-on-Avon, has been a popular stop for visiting musicians and guests, and has now become a very stylish vintage wedding venue.  Kerren and Ron's wedding in April was one of the first weddings to be hosted at Old Manor Hotel, and the details and decor matched the wonderful period features of the venue.  

A fabulous couple with a great family and friends, Jamie has been lucky enough to photograph Kerren again as a bridesmaid in 2014 too! Here are a selection of photos from their big day by Jamie McDine of Wiltshire Wedding Photography.

Beautiful Summer wedding at MacDonald Bath Spa Hotel

A few years ago, one of the first wedding videos we produced was for Gemma and Jon - a lovely couple from Trowbridge that we have since seen several times at their friend's weddings, and now with their cute children too!  They celebrated their reception at the MacDonald Bath Spa Hotel and it was lovely to return there in 2014 to photograph Christabel and Gary's wedding. 

When we met they had lots of ideas and styles for couple shots, which we used for inspiration on their day for a few poses - but there was no way we could recreate the very serious looking poses they had found, as they are such a happy and smiley couple!  When they tried to pose with serious looks they burst into laughter and I just love their wedding photos - full of emotion and genuine love and happiness.

Spring wedding at Leigh Park Hotel

One of our favourite wedding venues in Wiltshire is the beautiful Leigh Park Hotel, in Bradford-on-Avon. The ceremony room is not only very stylish, but has lots of light, thanks to windows all the way along both sides of the conservatory style room.

The gardens are perfect for guests to relax with a drink, as well as having plenty of secluded spots for us to take couples for their photos, without being watched by everyone else.

 Leigh Park's rooms are also exquisite and make the perfect backdrop for photos of the brides final preparations, as well as offering plenty of space to the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, without tripping over each others dresses!

 These are a selection of photos from Jo and Simon's Spring wedding at Leigh Park, and with a few bookings there already, we're looking forward to photographing more weddings at the hotel in 2014.

Christian and Beth's Wedding Video Online!

Christian and Beth received their DVDs in the post yesterday and I received the nicest message from them last night, and hopefully they won't mind me sharing it: "Beth and I have just watched the DVD, marvellous, fantastic, blew us away and reduced us to tears... thankyou, thankyou, thankyou."

I must admit that just watching their wedding film brings back the emotions of the day for me, of true love, happiness, family and a real sense of humour, and I was only producing the film! So I'm delighted always to hear that the happy couple love the film as much as I do and it helps them to relive and enjoy their day over and over again.
