Spring wedding at Leigh Park Hotel

Thursday, January 23, 2014

One of our favourite wedding venues in Wiltshire is the beautiful Leigh Park Hotel, in Bradford-on-Avon. The ceremony room is not only very stylish, but has lots of light, thanks to windows all the way along both sides of the conservatory style room.

The gardens are perfect for guests to relax with a drink, as well as having plenty of secluded spots for us to take couples for their photos, without being watched by everyone else.

Leigh Park's rooms are also exquisite and make the perfect backdrop for photos of the brides final preparations, as well as offering plenty of space to the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, without tripping over each others dresses!

These are a selection of photos from Jo and Simon's Spring wedding at Leigh Park, and with a few bookings there already, we're looking forward to photographing more weddings at the hotel in 2014.

Last September we had the pleasure of being part of our friend's big day, who celebrated their wedding in the beautiful capital of Germany. We enjoyed a lovely day with beautiful weather, some great German wedding traditions and a very happy couple!

Introducing the new Web album

Thursday, January 2, 2014

First of all, a Happy New Year to all the followers of our blog, Facebook page and visitors to our website!

2014 has just begun and we're excited to announce a new service by Wiltshire Wedding Photography. More couples and guests have recently asked for web albums to view and share their wedding photos with friends and family around the world, and we've found the perfect way to do it.

A lot of photographers put photos on their website, but it is always in low resolution and with their watermark across the image - so noone can enjoy looking through the photos properly, but it is a tool for them to sell prints to your friends and family. From day one we have always given brides and grooms a copy of all their photos on a disc, in the highest quality, together with the full printing rights, to print them as often and as big as they like, as well as sharing them on Facebook, or copying the disc for family and friends to enjoy. And we will always continue to do this.

Recently more couples have asked about the possibility of a web album, as although they get all the photos and know how to print the ones they want as canvasses, design albums, print thank you cards and much more... they're not sure how to show all their photos to friends and family that are spread around the world. So we had the idea - why not create a web album that shows off the photos in great quality, without watermarks, and in a beautiful web album - so you can see large thumbnails for all the photos, and simply click to view them in big or as a slideshow.

For just £75 we will create smaller web versions of the favourites folder (around 100 photos) and the formal group photos, and upload them to your own unique gallery on our FlickR page. We send you the link and you can share them via email, or even copy and paste the address into your Facebook timeline.

What if I'd like more photos in the album?
No problem at all - we would be happy to add as many photos to your web album as you want, to include all the natural photos throughout the day of you and your guests, just ask! And if you'd like a copy of all the web images sent to you on a disc, this costs just £10 extra, and then you have the files with the possibility to upload them to your Facebook page, a website, blog, or send them individually by email, however you like.

A web album from Wiltshire Wedding Photography is available to all customers in 2014, and also to all the couples we photographed in 2013.

To view a sample album, please visit: Stephen and Jasmine's web album

Embedded into a web page you could view the album as a slideshow like this:

The South West is a great place to get married

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

Are you thinking of getting married in Wiltshire, Bath or Somerset? Well here is some interesting facts that may help you choose a date or with various aspects of your planning.

We recently had a call from John and the team at The Wedding Secret, who have compiled some really interesting research about weddings across the UK.

From our own experience as photographers, more and more couples tend to choose Wiltshire, Bath or Somerset as their ideal wedding location, regardless of where they currently live. In fact, this year we have photographed several couples that live in London, Nottingham and Surrey and next year will be photographing couples from as far away as Australia, that are all getting married in the South West!

So without any further ado, here is the data that John and his team have produced for Somerset.

Wedding Highlights Video

Tuesday, November 19, 2013

One of the most popular features of the wedding videos we produce, is the beautiful Wedding Highlights Video. It's a great way to relive all the best bits of your big day and is perfect for sharing and showing family and friends. The Wedding Highlights is edited to a song of your choice and not only do you receive it on your wedding DVD, but you also get an iPad friendly version - perfect for putting on your tablet and taking with you wherever you go. It is also ideal for adding to YouTube and your Facebook timeline, or emailing a link for friends and family around the world to watch.

Here are a couple of Wedding Highlights videos produced in 2013 by Jamie McDine. Enjoy!

Tom and Kirsten

Friday, November 1, 2013

2013 has been a really busy year and isn't over yet! However, this year has been even more special to us, as we were lucky enough to share the two special days of a couple of our best friends as well.

Today we are sharing a few of our favourite photos from Kirsten and Tom's big day. They got married at Old Wardour Castle near Tisbury, which always brings back great memories for us as we enjoyed our wedding day there in 2010.

Getting married in uniform

Friday, August 30, 2013

Every attention to detail is made on a wedding day to ensure that the couples look their absolute best - the bride gets her hair and makeup done before putting on her dress and jewellery. Whilst the groom has an immaculate button hole and wears a suit so much smarter than in daily life!

A few times this year we have photographed couples where the groom has worked in the forces and got married in uniform - it really says something about their personalities and their career plays such an important part in their life that it is a very fitting outfit for the biggest day of their lives. It also looks incredible in photos and we thought we would share a few more photos from Lyndsey and Sam's big day.

They got married in Teffont Magnor on Saturday 17th August 2013, and despite a few showers of rain, they had a fabulous day with family and friends. And the rain stopped for long enough for us to take some wonderful photos to help them remember the day.

Congratulations to the happy couple and best wishes from Jamie and Jackie.
