Beautiful Wiltshire wedding ceremonies at County Hall, Trowbridge

Thursday, April 9, 2015

As you may know, Trowbridge is the county town of Wiltshire, and in County Hall, it now boasts a wonderfully refurbished council building and a spectacular library. Years ago couples would enjoy their wedding ceremony in the building too, and after several years away in a portable building across the road, Wiltshire Council have relaunched County Hall as the new home for beautiful wedding ceremonies.

Reopened in 2014, my first wedding at County Hall was in the smaller ceremony room for a double wedding celebration! Helen and Roger enjoyed their wedding ceremony last June, shortly followed by brother Ray getting married to Jodie! The room is light and intimate for a smaller wedding, and the exterior of the building provides a more spectacular and grand backdrop for photos.

Then in Autumn 2014 I returned to County Hall to see the newly refurbished large ceremony room on the first floor, and to photograph Lexy and Matthew's wedding ceremony.  The decor in the room is very much in keeping with the classic exterior of the building and grand staircase, and their day was made even more special with the groom's father officiating the ceremony!

And finally, I returned on a beautiful winter's day to photograph Leah and AndrĂ©'s wedding ceremony in the large ceremony room.  There are so many wonderful backdrops at County Hall, that lend themselves to beautiful photos of your wedding day - so if you're getting married at County Hall in Trowbridge and would like stunning photos to treasure your special day, then contact Jamie and Jackie of Wiltshire Wedding Photography on 01373 472880, or email: jackie@ivisualise.co.uk

Beautiful wedding albums by Wiltshire Wedding Photography

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

We've been photographing weddings in Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset for 5 years now, and we have always given the happy couples all of their images on a disc - all in the highest quality and with full printing rights.

Recently more and more couples have been asking us to produce a beautiful wedding album for them, for a number of reasons - our technical expertise, design skills, knowledge of them and their wedding photos, and in a lot of cases, where they simply haven't found time to make it themselves, or they've tried and couldn't get to grips with designing it.  If that's the case for you, we would be delighted to produce a beautiful wedding album for you.

Over the past few years we have tried a number of photo albums from a wide variety of suppliers, testing the quality of product and service, with prices ranging from £20 right up to £500.

When we decided to produce wedding albums for our customers, the choice was clear - we wanted a photo album that reflected the quality and style of our photography, the couples that we photograph, and to be excellent value for money.

To keep things simple we only offer a top of the range photobook - as it's excellent quality, but without the very expensive pricetag of a leather bound photo album.  The price for our time to produce the album and for the luxury photobook delivered to your door is just £200.

Additional copies are available for only £100 each, so why not treat your parents to one at the same time?

Every page is printed on a very heavy weight 380gsm Photographic paper - so you get beautifully crisp printed photos on a strong page that will stand the test of being turned by yourselves, family and friends for years and years! It also has a perfect bound hardcover and layflat pages, so there is no creasing of pages in the middle - the pages lay perfectly flat allowing you to enjoy the entire photo, right to the edges (as shown below).

The photobook is 50 pages and you have a choice of two options - either a large square album of 30 x 30cm or an A4 album of 29 x 22cm.

The square album fits one image per page, with your photos being beautifully presented on a black background (below).

The A4 album is perfect for showing off your images across the full page, with a landscape photo filling a page, or two portrait photos placed side by side on a page (below).

Beautiful Summer wedding at Homewood Park, near Bath

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

There are so many stunning wedding venues around Bath, Wiltshire and Somerset, some of which we visit several times a year. This August Jamie discovered Homewood Park for the first time and was just blown away with the venue and a magical day, as he filmed Sarah and Matt's wedding.

Not only is the venue beautifully styled, but it has wonderful gardens and is set in a very peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby city of Bath. It was made even more spectacular thanks to the elements of Chinese wedding tradition that the happy couple kept as part of their special day. The tea ceremony was a particular highlight and it tasted amazing too!

The day was so memorable, not least for the friendliness of all the guests and especially Sarah and Matt, who were so friendly and considerate - it was just a joy to share their special day with them.

This is the wedding highlights video of Sarah and Matt's wedding at Homewood Park near Bath - a really wonderful couple and venue, and I hope to return there very soon!

Directing films at Stonehenge

Monday, February 2, 2015

I love photographing and filming weddings, they are just such magical and memorable days - not only for the happy couple, but for me too!

Before I started filming and photographing weddings in 2010, my background was in documentary and promotional film production - for companies like National Trust and the German Tourist Office. I still produce and direct promotional films for various local and national companies and January 2015 saw a memorable film project for me at the World Heritage Site of Stonehenge.

Stonehenge is one of our favourite places to visit as a family and this Christmas our 3 year old Oscar got his first LEGO® and we've not stopped playing with it since - so when I was asked by English Heritage Education and LEGO® Education to direct a film about their new Discovery Visit at Stonehenge, I was over the moon!

And here are the films that I directed. I hope you enjoy watching them!

LEGO® Education and English Heritage Education present the new "Myths and Legends" Discovery Visit at Stonehenge. The session led by English Heritage staff and volunteers, helps bring the history to life for this group of Year 6 pupils from the Mead Community Primary School - exploring the stones, learning about myths and legends, and creating their own stories using LEGO Education StoryStarter.

Beautiful winter wedding at Beechfield House

Saturday, January 24, 2015

On a glorious and sunny winters day, just a couple of days after Christmas, what better way to celebrate with your family and friends, than with a beautiful winter wedding. That's exactly what Becky and Andy did, set in the stunning gardens and hotel at Beechfield House, near Melksham.

I had met with them st Stourhead a few months ago for an engagement shoot, and as I entered the hotel it was lovely to see a selection of those photos in vintage style frames to welcome the wedding guests. For me, the biggest advantage of an engagement shoot is that it builds a better relationship between the happy couple and myself, so on the big day I am already a familiar and friendly face.

An engagement shoot also gives the couple much more confidence in front of the camera, as they have more experience in posing for me and have more confidence in their natural smile and posture. As soon as I photographed Becky and the bridesmaids final preparations it was clear that she was very comfortable and natural in front of the camera, and the images look stunning.

And when I saw Andy with his groomsmen awaiting the arrivals of guests, I was greeted again by a wonderfully friendly and natural smile. This was just the start of an incredible day, and it was a joy to share this special day with Becky and Andy, finished off in style with fireworks.

These are a selection of photos by Jamie McDine of Wiltshire Wedding Photography.

"Myself and Becky would love to say a 'super huge thank you' for taking the photos for our Wedding. We couldn't have met a nicer, considerate, friendly and professional guy like Jamie. If your looking to get married and you want someone to make you feel comfortable and take great pictures Jamie is your man." Andy & Becky

Did you know that we produce wedding videos?

Friday, January 23, 2015

Jamie and Jackie are best known as photographers, who work in a friendly and unobtrusive way to capture your special day in stunning images. However, Jamie's background is in film production, and he also produces beautiful wedding videos in Wiltshire, Bath and Somerset.

So what is Jamie's film background?
Jamie is a film producer with an international background, experience and award-winning talent. He has produced music videos for the likes of Ian Brown and Just Jack, and directs promotional films for companies locally and internationally, including the German Tourist Office, English Heritage and Wiltshire Council.

His documentaries have been screened at festivals, cinemas and picked up several film awards around the world.

When Jamie got married in 2010 he found that noone in the South West was producing high quality wedding videos, and certainly not at an affordable price. Since then he has produced stunning wedding videos with the same attention to detail and quality as he would any professional film production.

He has the experience, skills and equipment to produce the perfect record of your special day, and because he does this every day, it is always at an affordable price.

Inspired by his photographer wife Jackie, Jamie has also become a very successful wedding photographer.  Jamie works in a very friendly and unobtrusive way to ensure you and your guests can concentrate on enjoying your special day, and you end up with a beautiful wedding video that really tells the story of the day - perfect to relive time and time again.

Winter wedding at North Cadbury Court

Thursday, January 8, 2015

In November we photographed Sarah and Paul's special day at the stunning North Cadbury Court, tucked away between Wincanton and Yeovil. With the ceremony taking place in the church next door to the reception venue, it was not only a beautiful, but also a practical location for a truly memorable wedding day.

Having kept it secret from the guests, the best man delivered a surprise half way through the ceremony, with the wedding rings flying down the aisle, brought by Harris Hawk! Safely untied from his talons the rings made their way on to Sarah and Paul's fingers and the marriage certificate was signed and sealed with a kiss.

Such a lovely couple and a wonderful wedding venue - hopefully we'll be back at North Cadbury Court again soon.
