Summer Wedding at Lox Lane Farm, Shaftesbury

Wednesday, October 26, 2016

We believe that a wedding photographer should be a happy and friendly person that makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and enjoy your wedding day - even if you don't normally like being centre of attention.  Most of the couples we meet are not used to posing for the camera and so our whole approach is in getting to know you better, and being that happy friendly face on your wedding day, so you feel more relaxed and confident that you will have beautiful photos.

It's so nice to get a great connection with couples and we have made so many friends over the past six years of photographing weddings.  One couple that I had an immediate connection with were Richard and Emily, so I was really confused why Richard seemed so nervous on their engagement shoot.  It only became apparent when he got down on one knee and pulled out the engagement ring to surprise Emily!  After that he was very relaxed!

For their wedding day, they had a beautiful ceremony at Lox Lane Farm near Shaftesbury. Like a lot of couples, they put in an enormous amount of time and effort to get every detail perfect, from the table decorations, to the bouquets, and of course to the surprise entrance on horse and carriage!

Spring wedding at Leigh Park Hotel, Bradford on Avon

Saturday, October 15, 2016

One of my favourite Wiltshire wedding venues is Leigh Park Hotel in Bradford on Avon, and in 2016 I was lucky enough to photograph and film 5 different weddings at the venue between March and July.

It is always a joy to return, whether it is for the whole day, with the ceremony taking place in the stunning Vine Room, or if it is simply for the reception after a ceremony at one of the beautiful local churches.

Rhian and Elliot enjoyed an intimate Spring wedding at Leigh Park Hotel in May, and it was a pleasure to share their day with them, from the bridal party getting ready until the first dance.

Such a friendly and natural couple, I always try to make sure my photos really reflect and capture the personalities and emotions of the bride and groom, and their wedding guests.

Chinese Gatecrash Ceremony at Great Tythe Barn, Tetbury

Monday, August 29, 2016

Giles and Elaine's wedding at Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury got off to the most amazing start, with the groom and his brothers proving their worth and passing all the tests set by the sisters, allowing the groom safe passageway to the bride. Such an amazing tradition, this is the Chinese Gatecrash Ceremony.

Rainy wedding day in Chard, Somerset

Sunday, August 28, 2016

As everyone knows, the one thing you can't book for your wedding day is sunshine!  Gemma and David's wedding day at St John the Evangelist Church in Tatworth, near Chard, was fabulous, despite plenty of rain showers throughout the day.

Such a happy couple and friendly families, that were simply keen to enjoy the special day and not let the rain of Glastonbury weekend ruin their big day! And with Jamie's expertise in finding suitable spots for great photos, but also keeping the wedding party dry, it all made for a wonderful and memorable wedding day and beautiful wedding photography.

Where better to go for a couple shoot in the pouring rain, than an old mill - a stones throw from where the bride grew up and spent many happy afternoons as a kid. And after a quick downpour the sun decided to come out again too!
