Are you looking for some inspiration for your flowers or wedding cake?  Or wondering what the trend colours are for each season in 2018?

Then you have come to the right place, as we share this wonderfully created guide by Elle of Adorn Invitations.

Summer:

Your white wedding wonderland is about to become a reality. Pair the neutral with blush pinks, rose golds and natural greenery for that light, airy summertime feel.

Wedding Stationery:
For your wedding stationery, select a white paper backing and pair it with floral designs, embossed if you’re wanting a deeply textured, exquisite and elegant finish) and finished with a blush envelope and gold or rose gold foiling for a luxurious touch.

Wedding Theme:
The wedding theme for your summertime soiree can be an all-white dress code, an outdoor summertime affair, a tropical paradise, rooftop or garden party, winery or vineyard celebration or dinner under the stairs (or fairy lights).

Wedding Décor:
Decorate the tables with pure white linen and layer it with elaborate floral arrangements, rose gold cutlery and geometric vases, crystal clear glassware, chalkboards with sweet messages, hanging bloom and candle displays and a touch of timber for that rustic appeal.

Wedding Desserts:
Sweeten up your guests berry parfaits and delicious fruit salads, tarts and kebabs, and treat them to an ice cream cart and popsicle bar! With the heat, they may not be craving too many sweets and chocolate that may be filling so spoil them with a granita, lemonade and refreshment bar to quench their thirst!

Wedding Blooms:
Compliment white blooms with green leaves and succulents for that rich sea of greens. This is the perfect chance to convince your partner an ivory rose flower wall is a MUST and to decorate the venue creatively with leafy frame arrangements and rose covered life-size letters.

Wedding Style:
In this warmer weather, the lighter the better and that is for your gown and beauty! Choose a feminine, backless and light gown paired with an up do and soft, minimal and natural makeup. For the bridesmaids, have them in silky numbers and the groom and groomsmen in white shirts and light colored pants.

Autumn:

This season gives you the opportunity to go dark, brooding and opulent in the most elegant way, especially when pairing rich plums and deep blues with touches of gold throughout.

Wedding Stationery:
Don’t be afraid to make a statement and to go for a real luxurious look with the invitations you’ll be presenting your guests with. Bring in the rich marsala or cerulean blue into your wedding stationery and really leave a lasting impression on your guests with gold foiling and wax seal for that deluxe appeal.

Wedding Theme:
For a wedding theme, you could go with a Moroccan affair, forbidden forest, French opulence, Modern or Traditional Fall, Comfy barn celebration or Country and rustic. You’re really spoilt for choice here with such a deep, diverse colour palette, it all depends on you and your partner’s preferred style!

Wedding Décor:
Give your wedding that golden glow with draping chandeliers and countless candles throughout. Get creative with pumpkins that you can paint in burgundy, purple and blue as well as white, blush and gold for that perfect neutralization. Gather leaves as part of a seating chart display or paint them all gold and have them layer each other for a feature photo wall.

Wedding Desserts:
For Autumn desserts, spoil your guests with deep red macarons with gold foiled flakes, a tower of cinnamon donuts, freshly baked and assorted pies (don’t forget pumpkin!) and a white frosted black forest cake with red and blue ombre effects and a rich red flower and greenery placed on top for decoration.

Wedding Blooms:
Do not stray away from getting indulgent and over the top with your flower arrangements! Blend rich red and purple in-season peonies, roses, gardenias, camellia blooms, orchids, hyacinth, tulips and snapdragons with whites and rich greenery and succulents.

Spring:

A springtime wedding is your chance to host an outdoor wedding unifying romantic and soft blush pink and baby blue tones.

Wedding Stationery:
Let’s get creative and have fun with the invitations! You can go with some pastel pink or blue water colour designs and opt for gold foiling for that rich, luxe finish or go for a more elegantly rustic feel with a craft paper backing and white text with leaves and blooms printed throughout.

Wedding Theme:
With such a soft, subtle colour palette, that is all the excuse you need to host your own outdoor garden party. If you really want a sea of blush and blues, ask your guests to dress according to the colour theme and to blend it with whites and creams for that extra sense of softness.

Wedding Décor:
Layer the tables with blue linen and layer it with beautiful pink blooms, white vases and ornaments, rose gold candleholders and cutlery for that elegant contrast. You’ll be celebrating into the night so have some candles sheltered in glass cases and fairy lights delicately dangling from above your guests and on surrounding trees.

Wedding Desserts:
Dare to be daring with your cake and opt for what is expected to be a big hit with 2017 brides – the naked cake! Take it even further with an eccentric touch of a blush and blue ombre effect and add rich pink blooms for a special added touch. Don’t underestimate the popularity of a take-home candy bar-, still a favorite amongst adults!

Wedding Blooms:
I’ll start with… pink roses, and lots of them! Blend the pinks with ivory and cream in-season blooms like lilies, blushing brides, daffodils, peonies and tulips. Don’t be afraid of rich green succulents and arrangements and this will give that perfect touch of contrast and richness to such a light colour palette.

Wedding Style:
For your gown, go with a sweetheart strapless and/or a spaghetti strap backless piece accessorized with sparkling silver diamonds and dress your bridesmaids in off the shoulder low cut pink or blue numbers. For the groom, have him and his groomsmen in tailored blue suits with soft pink bow ties and a sweet rose pinned to their pocket.

Winter:

Hosting a wedding during this season is perfect for your budget as it is generally considered to be offseason, so you will save on costs. Talk about an added bonus!
Wedding Stationery:
Adorn Invitations highly recommends the thickest and highest quality paper in black or white that is given that whimsical feel with a metallic gold finish. Foil imprints promise you a glistening and gleaming aesthetic that will truly impress your guests. Sleek and stylish, and with such a bold and beautiful colour palette, you can’t go wrong!

Wedding Theme:
If you want to go extravagant, think Vintage Elegance or Glitz and Glamour. If you want to go back in time, think Retro Romance, Old Hollywood or Gatsby and if you want to go timeless, go Classic Beauty or Minimalistic Love. The colours, when combined, exude nothing less than luxury and lavishness so whichever theme you go with is the perfect choice.

Wedding Décor:
Cover the ballroom venue with white rose petals on the ground and fake snow, white or gold painted branches, candles and lots of them, blooms and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and bursting blooms sitting beautifully as table arrangements. Line the tables with black table clothes and dress them with gold chairs, textured vases, exquisite gold tableware and crystal glassware.

Wedding Desserts:
When it comes to the cake, treat your guests with a textured gold frosted or foiled cake that is filled with rich chocolate mousse and covered with white florals or if you really want to break free of the traditional white cake and shock and stun your guests, go with a black tiered cake covered pleasantly with seasonal blooms.

Wedding Blooms:
Amongst a dark and moody setting, pure white flowers and vibrant green leaves will truly soften the atmosphere and balance everything out perfectly. Don’t be afraid to use up the space with elaborate blooms bursting from each table, the surroundings and the ceiling as it will keep your guests enclosed and warm. Seasonal blooms include blushing brides, lisaianthus, David-Austin roses, daphnes, double tulips, hyacinth and sweet peas.

Wedding Style:

Be bold and different and dress your bridesmaids in black gowns. For the bride, choose a dramatically detailed long-sleeved white lace gown. This is your chance to go with a hair-down wedding look- think Hollywood waves paired with a prominent winged cat eye-liner look and for the groom and groomsmen, a clean cut black suit with a gold tie.
